We have had a fun but busy week, Mum, Cherise and I had a great time at the Quorn Hunt opening Tuesday meet on Darcy, Max and Tex, we had a fabulous time, as always Bridget & Richard Dimblebee put on a fantastic meet at The Wheatsheaf Inn at Woodhouse Eaves. All three horses were great jumping everything asked of them.
I was teaching a pony club rally at the weekend for the Quorn Pony Club. We asked Katie Winston who I teach if she would take Max for us to give him some more experience, she did a great job he was a little tense to start with but it was his first time in an indoor school and with mirrors! He settled very quickly and was a star.
This morning we went to Willoughby Lodge Farm, it is a great place to take the horses schooling, it has a lovely big school with lots of show jumps and portable cross country fence, it also has a bank and water so it is a great all-round education for them. I took Lucy for her first outing, she is still very green and not ready for a show yet but you can do as little or as much as you want here, she was fab jumping every thing that was asked of her, she is so exciting for the future, she still needs a lot of work on the flat but she is improving every time she is ridden. Julie who bought Tonka off us came along as well, he is getting on really well, it is great to see him progressing so well. Max was fab again asking every question asked of him, he is such a dude taking everything in his stride. Mum and Darcy had lots of fun and I was allowed a play at the end over some of the bigger skinnies in practice for some arena eventing over the winter.
