We took George and Max to Vale View on Sunday, George just did the dressage and Max the dressage and show jumping. I was really pleased with Georges attitude today, he was a lot more relaxed and although there were still a lot of areas to work on, he had come on so much since his last test, I was a bit disappointed with his sheet as there were definitely good bits and not so good bits so was disappointed to only have half a marks difference between all the different moves. Max was a little star as this was his first time seeing white boards and he was a little wobbly going round at the beginning but settled very quickly to do a really sweet test, Cherise went on to do the show jumping on him, they jumped a nearly foot perfect double clear in the first class just having the last fence down in the jump off, then just had one down in the 85cm class coming out of a double which he just found the distance a bit long, but he made it look so easy and it was his first time at that height. I also rode Billy for the Winstons in the jumping we just had one down in the first class but he jumped a super double clear in the 85cm to come 5th out of over 40 so we were very pleased with him.
A massive happy new year to everyone who follows us. Hopefully 2015 is going to be our most successful year so far. Cherise and I have just had a lovely holiday Skiing in Austria, it was first time for both of us and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, a massive thank you to Mum who let us go and did all the hard work at the yard with help from Shona Rudkin and Kay Rowbotton, I am really grateful for the help and support which meant that we could really enjoy the holiday with no worries about the horses. I really enjoyed being back at work today though as hadn't ridden since before Christmas with it snowing on Boxing day, I had a lovely hack on George followed by taking Rogey round the block who hasn't been sat on for about a month but she was a very good girl and then had a fun play in the school with Flo, they are all looking a bit scruffy after their mini break, so after riding Flo I clipped and polished her so she looks like an event horse again rather than a scruffy pony!! The rest will have the same treatment this week. Please check out our LG Team Page, we will be having our open day in February please contact me it you would like to come along, even if it is just for a nosey!
