We had a really good day again today, Posh and Flo were on top form. Posh jumped really well to win the 1.05m open and Flo jumped a bit of a lucky clear in the first round of the Newcomers but went on to jump a foot perfect round in the jump off to finish second. Both these horses are a real pleasure to take out as they are so easy, and a big thank you to the support team of Mum and Ila who came along to help and support. Its always a good day when you win back your entry fees and pay for the diesel!!!
Mum and Cherise were planning to go hunting today but after all the rain decided to save the horses for another day, but as Cherise had the day off work we decided to take Chester to Vale View and as I am going jumping later in the week we decided it would be good for Toffee to go out again. This was Chester's first proper outing and he was a star just had one little look in the first round and then jumped round brilliantly the second time, he really has a lovely attitude to his work and really enjoys it . Toffee jumped brilliantly round a course of 95cm and then jumped just as well round 1.05m.
Liberty Bramwell rode Toffee again for us today, they jumped a foot perfect double clear in the Discovery and then just had four faults in their first Newcomers.
Toffee was a good girl again today at Solihull. Liberty Bramwell rode her for us and we really appreciate what a good job she is doing and also a bit thank you to her Mum Joanne Bramwell who takes her to the shows. She was a bit green in the first class as she still hasn't had much experience indoors and just had four faults, she jumped her best round ever in the discovery to finish 4th which adds more to her winnings, she has now won about £1
We had another really good day out show jumping today, it was Posh's turn to be the star of the show this week and win back their entry fees!! She jumped really well in the 1.05m and was just beaten by the last competitor in, as she felt so good I decided to jump her in the 1.15m which I have not done for a while as she can get a bit worried when the jumps get bigger, but she made it feel easy today and finished second again, Flo was very pleased to be out and was a little enthusiastic in the Newcomers and we had one down in the jump off when she didn't want to listen to me, in the 1.15 she jumped brilliantly but we had four faults at the last as I got her completely wrong and she had to stop but we turned round and jumped it beautifully. Next time they both have to be on top form, and the rider!!!
Mum and Cherise had a good day out hunting with the Quorn Hunt on Thomas and Chester, it was a lovely meet and they had a good day out with a few jumps, this was Chester's second time out and he was a very good boy and he will be a lovely hunter after a few more outings, Thomas as u
You know winter has definitely arrived when you start going to Markfield. Our first outing there this winter was a winning one, which is always a good way to start something! I just jumped the 1.05m which was one round against the clock, Posh jumped really well just having one down where I turned in short and wanted to jump across the fence and she just questioned me for a second and just clipped it behind, Flo was having her first outing since her holiday after the event season, she jumped brilliantly to win the class.
Chester at Aylesford
We took Chester out today for his first show jumping outing today, we took him to Aylesford which is brilliant as they can jump round a course without any pressure, he was a real little superstar and just popped round like a pro.
We had a busy week last week. On Tuesday we went out hunting with the Quorn, as usual it was a lovely meet at The Wheatsheaf in Woodhouse Eves which is run by Richard and Bridgett
