We have made the decision to sell George as I am currently 5 months pregnant so will be taking it easy for a bit.
I have had some great times jumping George, he has won £189BS winnings, qualified 2nd round Discovery 2016 and jumped 3 double clears Newcomers. He has loads of scope to carry on up the levels.
George is a sensitive horse but straightforward to ride, he would suit a competitive amateur, he has plenty of scope and pops 1.35m for fun at home.
We had a great day jumping today, Lucy jumped double clear in the British Novice finishing just outside the places, she was a bit keen and just made a couple of mistakes in the discovery. Flo and George were in top form in the 1.05m with Flo winning and George coming second. Clever ponies!!!
A very happy new year to everyone, first of all my apologies for not being very good over last couple of months at keeping my blog upto date, will try to be better! We have been really busy at Little Garendon, all the usual horses are going really well, Mum and Darcy had a good day out with the Readyfield Bloodhounds on New Years Day despite the soggy ground conditions.
Today we went to Brooksby in the pouring rein to do dressage at Brooksby College, at least it is all indoors and was very well run. Cherise took Betty who was doing her first dressage test, she was a really good girl just having the odd green moment scoring a fair mark of 61.81%. I took Lucy who finally seems to settling in the exciting horse we have always believed she is, she was brilliantly behaved today just showing moments of tension in the first test scoring 65.8% to finish 5th, I then did the novice on her which asked plenty of questions and I felt she went to the best of her ability at her stage of training and was thrilled with her mark of 67.68% to finish 3rd.
Back at home the lovely Hattie who has been on holiday livery with us for a week has gone back home but no rest for the wicked as we picked up Barney who is a four year old Arab who we broke in last year, he has come back to bring back in to work in preparation to hopefully going racing later in the year, we are getting booked up for 2016 so if you are interested in schooling/breaking or holiday livery please get in touch.
